About the WIPO Knowledge Center
The World Intellectual Property Organization is one of the 15 specialized agencies of the United Nations. The staff of the WIPO Knowledge Centre curate a valuable historic and contemporary collection in support of the work of internal and external customers. We do so to facilitate access to IP information, by procuring and managing information resources for research and assisting people to use it. The material in the WKC cannot be borrowed, but is always available for consultation.
The WIPO Knowledge Repository houses over 45,000 publications and documents some from the World Intellectual Property Organization, and others on IP, copyright, trademarks and patents. The search feature presents as an easy-to-use interface available to browse and discover content from various WIPO Library collections, including:
- WIPO Publications
- Printed books in the library collection

It is an authoritative source for global intellectual property academic research, serving multiple purposes - including functioning as a library catalogue and a platform for disseminating WIPO publications. * Kindly note that many online publications are indexed in the catalogue but due to vendor agreements and digital publishing rights, these are only accessible to WIPO staff.
